Built in the 1800’s, the barn was part of the first farm in Lake Elmo. The massive structure was converted into a residence in the 1990‘s.  By 2012, under new ownership, the barn was ready for a major upgrade.  From top to bottom the building was re-worked while actively promoting and maintaining its part of community history.

Set in a charming neighborhood of similar size homes, the owners of this 1950‘s story and half decided to completely remodel without turning it into a suburban mcmansion. The view over downtown Wayzata & Lake Minnetonka was magnificent, but the apartment look of the condo was a long ways from being the vision of the new owners. Completely remodeled to accommodate a retirement lifestyle. Professional-style galley kitchen, a cherry paneled office/den, marble master bath and an extremely well detailed living room turned this into one of our favorite condo renovations.  Project Architect: Andrew Porth

Located on beautiful Lake of the Isles this elderly tudor home was in need of everything...and that’s exactly what it received. This showpiece included finishing off the lower level, a new kitchen,  transformation of a third floor apartment into the beautiful master suite and everything in-between.  Project Architect: Dan Spencer.

Wake up to a cup of coffee while sitting next to the fireplace surrounded by a multitude of windows. Reclaimed timber beams bring intimacy into the 15’ high vaulted ceiling room. A new butler’s pantry and a pantry share the space of the original kitchen location. National award winner. 

Fine cabinetry accents the strong emphasis on function on this kitchen work of art. The glass door corner storage pantry, large island and fireplace gathering area add a touch of distinction to this beauty. ASID award winner.

Inspired by the colors found along the shores of a Northern Minnesota lake and designed by Waldenwood as a contemporary functional multi-cook working space. Horizontal grain wood cabinets, Corian tops, and a glass tile backsplash highlight the project.

An Edina family craved a large open concept floor plan for their main floor. Waldenwood removed an enclosed porch and moved and expanded the kitchen to create the family and entertaining space of their dreams. A large family room, dining room and chefs dream kitchen, along with a multi-purpose butlers pantry, pool entry door and desk all allow the active family to enjoy their family time. A curved wood range hood stands as a focal point in the kitchen, and mirrors the wood of the large island and wood floor, while the white cabinets keep an open airy feeling along with the full wall of windows illuminating the whole great room area.

Compact in size but packed with features and details. Positioned in the original kitchen location the space now feels spacious thanks to a small bumpout, glass cabinet doors, and a well positioned breakfast bar.  Project Architect: Dan Spencer. 

Master bath - A sense of the classic. White tile, inset doors and drawers and corner whirlpool enable the owners to both get ready for the day ahead and  de-stress at day’s end.

The existing home was limited by an entryway that opened directly into a laundry area and kitchen. By building an addition for the kitchen, family entry and laundry room it was possible to reconfigure the existing hall into a new entry & foyer.

The owners were in love with the idea of letting the sun pour into their home and capturing that energy in their sunroom stone floor.  A pellet wood stove added supplemental winter heat to the room. Project Architect: Meriwether Felt

Why drive to work, when you can work over what you drive? The owners decided to set up their company at home in a charming multi-gabled garage. It comes complete with a reception area, and designer appointed offices.

The fine detail of this carriage house style garage & second story art studio received rave reviews while on display as a Waldenwood Showcase project.  A wrought iron circular stairway provides access to this beautiful hideaway.

This St. Louis Park porch and rooftop deck are a perfect addition to this young family’s home, creating three+ full seasons of indoor/outdoor living space. The stone fireplace adds lots of extra cozy warmth to the space in the early spring and late fall, allowing them to extend their use of this “bonus room” for their family. Whether it’s dining as a family or watching the Vikings game with friends, or even a fresh air spot to bring the laptop when working from home- this space does it all. The rooftop deck off of the Primary suite adds a space just for the couple to have some much needed quiet time on their own.
